Our round culvert-style blast-resistant shelters are made to withstand tremendous amounts of force and pressure from large bomb blast waves. These are the only shelters that can be buried deep underground, for maximum protection. All shelters can be custom made to order or select from one of our standard floor plans.
All blast-resistant shelters come standard with NBC blast protection and 8' Diameter entrance shelter units, giving you TWO shelters in one. Smaller entrance units available at a lower cost and additional length can be added to both units at request.
All shelters are fully customizable.
Round corrugated steel blast resistant shelters are built as water-tight units, meaning the seams are good at keeping water out, but in extreme conditions, or prolonged exposure to constant water, it will find a way in. Our interior coating is durable and thick, and can also help prevent water leaking in in such situations, but its not 100%. If you live in a drier area, like Arizona, then water tight is all you need. Wetter ground conditions would be better fit for water proof shelters. We apply a urethane coating to the locked seams, creating a life time guaranteed, waterproof finish. We can do this while still using the corrugated design to allow for maximum burial depth, so there is no sacrifice with ground cover between the decision to water proof.
Our blast shelters come standard with an 8' Diameter by 10' long entrance shelter unit, and a 6' Diameter by 8' long storage unit. Each unit attached is protected by our security barrier, that only Spartan Survival Systems offers. Our storage area has an escape shaft with working blast hatch, and a 90 degree band to protect from radiation. Our escape hatch is hidden under a layer of ground cover, and is reusable, with lockable steel lid, and not just a hole filled with sand. Below plans show only the main living area.
